Hardtails are the sh*t.
how different do they sound?
So much done with simplicity. Love those hardtails. Those are both beautiful.
I love the blue right off the bat, but the more I stare at the purple one, the more I realize it's the best example of that color combo - purple/black/brass or gold.
The blue has an AT-1 in the bridge
Beautiful! Visited your website and now following you on FB.
Does that mean the owner is who I think it is?
Hmm, interesting. I've wanted to try the AT-1 for a while now. How would you describe it in a few sentences?
DA.002 has carbon fiber rods and birdseye maple and it's a cannon of a guitar acoustically. Actually a bit shocking how loud that one is, so the CF certainly didn't harm sustain if anything it seems to have helped it.
To me everything is better with a non-recessed dive only Floyd but these would have been wrong to build with trems since they were tributes in a way to Jake E Lee and he's all about the hardtail.
Me too!Beautiful! Visited your website and now following you on FB.
Hmm, interesting. I might have a guitar that an AT-1 would sound great in. Thanks, I'll be sure to keep it in mind.
I love the purple/black/brass combo that's why I chose to build that variation for myself. Finding the right shade of purple and the right blue was the tricky part.
I think you'll need a couple cans, though. That'll increase the cost.I'll be doing one of my next ones in purple. I think I'll save a few bucks and go with this though:

Yeah, I meant 'affect' in a positive way. By making the neck more rigid, it reflects (rather than absorbs) more string vibration, so you get the bigger acoustic tone etc.
Me too!
I'm in Long Island as well; you'll probably get a call from me sooner rather than later! :yourock:
Those are both awesomely cool guitars in cool colors. Love the DiMarzio SDS-1 Pickups too; you don't see them very often and they're truly great pickups.
It does have the JB-ish sound, but I've found that it's more forgiving. Sometimes the JB will hate a guitar, but the AT-1 is one of those universal pickups that work in everything.
I'll be doing one of my next ones in purple.
That purple should look real cool.
