Sell the TS9?

I really like the SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic. I borrowed one for a couple of weeks, and it was a :cool3: pedal.

I am about ready to order one, but a few extra $$$ wouldn't hurt.

Should I sell the TS9?

Do you feel that you will not use the TS-9 and that the Twin Tube will replace it? In that situation, I would say definitely sell it, if that is true.

That wasn't the word that came to mind...but it certainly went along with patience.

If I use the TTC, I will NOT use the TS9.

The TS-9's are very distinctive beats tonally.

It's kinda like Buffalo Wings...when you want them you know exactly what you want and nothing BUT them will do.

You may not be using it now, but if you're like me, some time may pass and you may find a use for it or value it as a backup.

That is, until you sell it. Then you'll want to use it again. Just keep it; they're cheap. You're not going to get rich selling it, and it's an essential pedal to have.

I currently have 2 a TS9 RI, and one that was modded by StratDeluxer97. They both work well, but I use them differently. I could always use a backup:fing2:

EASY DECISION! The TS9 is distinctly different than the TTC. The TTC can't really take the place of the TS9, because of the clean/grit combination nature of the TS9. I would use the TS9 along with the TTC. I'd use it in front just like the front end of a tube amp. So here's my surprising conclusion:

Sell the TS9! You can get 98% of what you want from the TS9 out of a Tubulator. Get a Tubulator, if not now, then wait until they get real cheap again, or wait until you have the extra funds. Then you'll always have a TS9 clone in your arsenal, plus you'll pick up some extra cash in the process. The point I'm trying to make is, the TTC is a unique sound unto itself. You've had a taste, so now you'll be gassing for one constantly until you get one. If selling the TS9 creates the shortest distance between you and the TTC, then do it!
