semi-hollow single cut?

Re: semi-hollow single cut?

Are there any other chambered single-cuts around that size in my price range ($500 US), new or used?

Michael Kelly has (or had) a single cut semi; may be called the Phoenix. Ibanez makes some too. I've seen various Les Paul copies with F holes. Most single cuts seem to be fully hollow, and the guys that play semi's seem to prefer double cutaways & more neck access; maybe because they're able to play louder without as many feedback issues, and notes high up the neck sustain better with more volume. 335's being the definitive semi design, nothing else has had much impact on the market. Why not get a 335?

I've got a semi-hollow 335 clone already (Ibby Artist Series AS 50). A new Gib$on'$ out of my pri¢e range. If I had a fully closed top, that would help with feedback issues; not that I ever play that loud anyway.

Hollow and semi-hollow guitars without F holes are pretty rare. Players like to get all that great acoustic sound.

GFS has a ton, as does RondoMusic... don't know if you want to go that cheap or not.
