Sentient/Nazgul or sentient/pegasus

Hi, need a little help. I still have a completely stock les paul (a 1990 standard) loaded with a pat# pickup in neck and a HB-L in bridge. I wanna try something different. On seymour duncan website I heard all the audio samples of sentient/pegasus set and sentient/nazgul set. And I can not decide which set should be better for such guitar. I play mainly metal (from iron maiden to emperor). At the moment my gear is: dark terror head, mxr gt-od and boss chorus.

This is how I separate them: If all I do is metal, and seriously heavy stuff at that, go with the Nazgul. If you want to be able to do more than that and have a good usable clean sound, go with the Pegasus. Both are good- but the Pegasus sounds more versatile EQ and output-wise.

Re: Sentient/Nazgul or sentient/pegasus

Good note separation is what I am looking for, first of all. And after that a workhorse pickup under high gain. The sentient is perfectly in between jazz (that I don't dislike but it is not my fav neck pickup) and 59 (that is my all time fav neck pickup). I can put it in a les paul with no regret and without modifing it (being halfway it doesn't have that boomy behavior sometimes the 59 has in les paul). The problem is the bridge slot. I really like both nazgul and pegasus but I had no chance to hear them in a les paul. Take into account what Mincer wrote I think I will give pegasus a try
