Riteyo so in responce to the responces I got from https://forum.seymourduncan.com/showthread.php?t=74718&highlight=sequencer
It seems as for as sequencing is going now, the laptop and software route seems to be the way to go!. Though i liked the idea i just doinf up a midi file on a sequencer on my PC then putting it on a floppy disc, or Flash card(depending on what the sequencer took) and putting the floppy or flash into the sequencer and away we go!!
I've seen a few bands do it that way, I also seen a band last weekend using a laptop for its backing tracks and headphones to the drummer so he could hear what was going on.... By the looks of it they were simply using backing track with only the Keyboards and Drums(though for drums it seemed that there was only bass drum and hi hats, just so as the drummer could keep time with the track i suppose)
Not for every song either, I liked the fact they didnt use it for every song, only for mabye 10 or so where it really brought it out..
Now My idea is that if this is any way at all possible(though i'm not too sure what i'd need mor how exactly to go about it etc..etc..hence why i'm looking for your help)..
To get some sort of program for programing then recording good quality keys (any suggestions??)
Perhaps program a few other instruments like strings if there happened to be a song that it would fit in(not looking to overdo it just for the sake of using those sounds tho of course)
to use for live gigs.. mainly for the cover songs that would really stand out if we were to use keys for it!
I was also thinking on recording mabye just the left,or right track of it with a hi hat or something so that I could feed that track to the drummer, so they audience would not hear any clicks etc...it would be running in mono, but it would be running mono anyway due to not having an extra channell for stereo anyways..
Any opinions, suggestions on that... am i crazy?
