if you do this using both dpdt push/pull pots, will it give you split or parallel when pulled?
if you use 2 push/pulls to do this one will toggle series/parallel and the other will toggle in phase/out of phase

SD used to have a sheet enclosed with all their pups outlining these options ... that being said ... yes the phase switch (one on right of linked diagram) controls the phase, the other controls series/parallel ... BUT when a on/on/on toggle is used, the phase switch has the benefit of selecting which coil is turned off in the split mode, it still effects it's phase when used with another pup though, but by itself you can't tell a difference.

This is basically the same thing holydirt said, but in a slightly different way:
If you use push/pull pots, you lose the "split" option.

The left hand switch gives you series/parallel relative to itself, the right-hand switch gives you phase-reversal relative to the "other" pickup. (The absolute phase of a single pickup isn't very meaningful.)
