Set Neck To Bolt On Conversion

Would it be possible to convert a set neck to a bolt on neck? There is an explorer guitar kit that I want but it is a set neck version and I want a bolt on. The neck is not glued on yet and I was just wondering if I could convert it to a bolt on neck. Here are some pics of the kit. Thanks

I don't see why not.
If it were me, I'd put some counter sunk grommets and use bolts, not screws.
Like these.

Putting a set-neck in requires just the same amount of attention to detail as a bolt-on does. You still need to make sure it's on straight and sits in the pocket correct. The only difference is the glue versus screws, and the wait time for allowing the glue to dry.

Putting a set-neck together is really not that hard since the neck pocket and neck are ready to be put together. You just need to use some clamps, good Titebond wood glue, something to protect the frets from the clamp, and some patience. If you truly want a bolt-on, look at Warmoth.

I'm kinda disappointed. I thought this was going to be about an existing set-neck guitar, sawing the neck off and routing a pocket to bolt a new neck in. I love that kind of vandalism.
