Seth Lover*59n*Les Paul*Plexi*Celestion V-30*Greenback

Stevo

Tonus Maximus Pacificas
This is a nickel covered 59n and Seth Lover bridge pickup. For the improv solo parts, I played the amp at 2/2 volume so there is not a lot of gain. I cranked the bright volume on the rythm parts.
I had the mic on the greenback for the rythm and 2 mics, one on the V-30 and one on a Blue Dog for the improv solo parts... something to do I guess :D
Here is the tune

Thats pretty sweet man, It would sound a little better with some more gain INMO but its still pretty awesome.

Re: Seth Lover*59n*Les Paul*Plexi*Celestion V-30*Greenback

Great sound man.....got that singing just right:D
And that Plexi midrange thing.....wow.
Nah no more gain is needed, this is simply good sound:D

hey, Stevo!

good throaty solo tone!

reminded me a little of Peter Green's tone ...

Re: Seth Lover*59n*Les Paul*Plexi*Celestion V-30*Greenback

the tone was very nice. very nice. a little more gain wouldnt hurt though....

the solo playing i thought was a little weak in parts, but i judge harshly.....
then again it did have nice moments....

Thanks guys :)
I wanted to do something a little different, and back off on the distortion a bit. I usually dont' use the v30 for recording either.

I like the character of this rig clean or dirty. I wish I could capture the true live sound.. this combo of pickups, guitar, amp and speakers is pretty sweet :)
