Seth Lover Question

I am leaning towards installing a pair of Seth Lover Model pickups in my semi-hollow body Dean Del Sol. I've heard great things about these pickups. My only concern is that I sometimes play at high volume and these pickups are not wax potted. Has anybody had any problem with squealing and unwanted feedback using these pickups at high volume?

The other pickups I am considering are Gibson '57 Classic/Classic Plus or DiMarzio PAF Classics.

Any and all suggestions and opinions would be appreciated.

Re: Seth Lover Question

I have an Antiquity set and I have no squeal issues. I tend to play fairly loud and with alot of gain.

I agree. People tend to worry to much. None of the pafs from the 50's were wax potted and rock virtuosos like Eric Clapton wailed away through two Marshall stacks with those old non-wax potted pickups. Lew

Re: Seth Lover Question

I don't have problems and I play with a neanderthal drummer, who I need to hear myself over.

Re: Seth Lover Question

Thanks, that just about seals the deal except that now do I get Seth Lovers or Antiquities? What are the differences?
