Seths in PRS

I love the Seths in my LP but I needed to radically adjust pu heights to balance the outputs. Want to put them in a PRS but I am not sure if there is enough room to get them balanced. Does anyone have any experience with this before I tear apart the guitar for nothing?

Re: Seths in PRS

The thing you need to do is to order the Seth set as a Custom Floor Shop with short legs.

PRS guitars don't take long-legged p'ups.

HTH,

HTH,

Mine have the short legs and 4con hookup wire. I am sure they will fit in the guitar. The strings ride very close to the body unlike a les paul. The question is will there be enough adjustment room to balance the volumes between the 2 pickups without the neck pickup being an 1" below the pickup ring

Re: Seths in PRS

Seth Lovers really come alive in a PRS. Mine are 2 lead, so I lost the ability to use the McCarty's split feature.
It doesn't matter to me, because the guitar sounds so good now, compared to when I had the stocks ones.
And it's sweeter and richer sounding than when I had a C5/59 in it. That set is better for modern rock/metal, whereas the Seths are better for classic rock/metal....PAF style. They're not potted, but they don't squeal either. I never messed with the tight covers that came with them.

And to answer your question about the height. I keep the neck barely above the ring, and the bridge considerably closer to the strings. I just adjust for feel against the amp's response, then leave it.
