What do you trhink is a good setting for slap back on that effect pedal? Do you think I should just get a slapback echo effect for that?

The DD-6 can do soooo much more than just a slapback obviously, but your best bet with it would be to set it for the shortest time, I think it's 80ms? Then just keep the feedback knob set low, and adjust the delay time until you hear a nice slapback sound you like.

If you want a dedicated slapback delay pedal, you could check out Rocktron's Short Timer delay.

if i remember right the shortest time you can get is 800ms, which is WAY too long

pick up an ibanez AD-9, or the rocktron if you're on a budget

Nope, 80ms is the shortest, I checked the website.

I think you should be good experimenting with your DD-6.
