A friend gave me his Ibanez RG to do some work on. Ive replaced the pickups, electronics and re-wired it, strung it up, set it up and it plays great, nice low action without buzz, apart from the first fret. Im getting buzzing on all six strings on the first fret. Does this mean the nut is either too high or low? It currently has a shim under the E A D strings and both the low e and high e are roughly just under 1 mm from the top of the first fret. Is this the problem or is it elsewhere?
