Setup with TU-2?

I know that ideally you would want a tuner with +/- 1 cent accuracy and a meter, but can you get a decent setup accomplished with the TU-2? I am in the process of selling my Korg DTR-1000 Rackmount tuner so that I can get a Peterson strobe. At any rate, my Korg is at the buyers home for a test drive and he wont be available until later tonight. I will be in the second set by the time he is home, and would like to be in tune to boot!

So, can I get the job done with my pedal tuner if I pay attention and take it slow?

Re: Setup with TU-2?

I do set-ups on a TU-12 all the time so I imagine you can get close enough on the TU-2.

Re: Setup with TU-2?

I went to the BOss page, but couldnt find the accuracy of the TU-12. I just hope the accuracy of 3 cents is not noticeable on stage. Actualy that will be 6 cents. With a tolerance of +/- 3 cents, you could be flat 3 cents on one string and sharp 3 cents on the next. that would be a total of 6 cent difference. the general public might no notice, but I will and there is nothing like bad intonation to steal inspriation mid-solo!

Thanks for the quick response Robert, I will give it my best and see what happens!!!

Have A Blessed Day,
Allen

Re: Setup with TU-2?

do a search on google for the AP guitar tuner, you can get acurate to the tenth of a cent with this tuner, if you have a way of getting the guitars signal into your computer.

One thing I cannot tolerate is a guitar that is out. I play the entire neck including chord shapes and octaves above the 12th fret on a regular basis. I guarantee that the TU-12 is accurate enough to calibrate a bridge. At least it's good enough for picky old me.
