I put an # DHS1B in the bridge of my LTD. Sounds great!!! Want to swap out neck P/U. My friend has same LTD with Dimarzio Humbucker from Hell #DP156 in the neck, sounds good but I would like to stick with Seymor. Anything similar??? Thanks Lou

Re: Seymor match to Humbucker from Hell

I'm actually looking into the same thing for one of my guitars. I looked into the Duncan "Stag Mag" SH-3, it's 2 single coil pickups put together rather than a traditional Humbucker, so i imagine it sounds like the neck/middle pickups on a strat. I've never used the Stag Mag, and I'm still considering it instead of the Humbucker From Hell. I can't choose which to try :smack: because I can't hear either except on the computer for a sound sample.

PS-can u tell me a little about how the Humbucker from Hell sounds?

I've never used the Stag Mag but other than that there is no Duncan that sounds like the HFH that I've heard....none. That's because the HFH doesn't sound like a humbucker at all....it's very unique.

How does the HFH sound? To me,in the neck of that ESP on that 4-12 Crate, clean, in that room, 25% humbucker, 25% acostic. 50% strat. But I've been told many times about other toney things "you must be deaf ! " I love the DSH1B in the bridge. I can do most anything with it. Think I could do more with something like the HFH. tuff to tell with those sound clips. Best if you can get your hands on one. I still would like to stick with Seymour, I've used 3 in 2 guitars. Just seems to work out well. I e-mailed tech support for their best quess, I,ll wait and see. Goodluck Lou
