Yes, it's widely known that cinnamon toothpaste will get the hottest tone while mint toothpaste yields the coolest tone. Brasso gives a nice sparkly tone.

I've used Meguier's Scratch X Swirl Remover and it works well and it actually polishes the bobbins as well. Less work than toothpaste and just as fresh.
