seymour duncan amps?

darnright

I was reading an old Guitar Player today (1st issue after Stevie died). I saw an ad for SD amplifiers, I just wondered if there were any around and how they sound.
There were like 6 models in this ad, one was an all tube combo w/2x10 or single 12. Just curious.

I've got 2 of the 300x300w bass amps.

I love 'em!

Re: seymour duncan amps?

I owned a 100W Convertible for several years - fantastic sounding amp but very, very, inreliable! Luckliy for me the Duncan factory was straight 3 miles down the road from my house at the time...The rectifier tube blew constantly and the tubes ran hot, but other than that it was a great channel switcher...

Was that the one with Jeff Beck and SRV on the cover shaking hands, and had the addendum 'as we were going to print...'

No, it was a little later, had a bunch of tribute letters for Stevie. It was Dec 1990. I probably have that one somewhere, though.
