It's interesting that the neck is higher output than the bridge. I have a similar thing going on my Epi Dot with a '59 neck and Seth bridge and it works really well.

Never thought of doing this. Does it give you more clarity and brightness in the neck position?

I would think it's the contrary. The more you overwind a pickup, the darker and hotter it becomes. Add to that the A2. It would probably make the neck position more "neck-y" and the bridge position more "bridge-y".

Great player but I can't say that I like his Stratocaster sound with DP.

I like his Strat with DP, very unique! I think he used the LP in James Gang.
