Seymour Duncan Custom 14-New pickup exclusive to some models of ESP LTD guitars

The new Custom 14 pickup is exclusive to a handful of ESP models. It is only available in a handful of ESP models, and nowhere else. The specs of this pickup are between SD and ESP and haven't been made public.

These are links to the models on the ESP website.

I just got one of the ESP LTD H3 1000FR's with this in it. I've only had it a couple of day now, but my initial reaction is the new Custom 14 pickup is really bright and seems to have very little low end/bass to it (but it can still do chugs-just missing a little "thump" to it), and the mids sound quite scooped. Definitely an aggressive attack from it, and cuts through the mix quite well. Will need to play it a bit more to form a final opinion.

Thanks for the review! Can you compare it to any of the other Custom variants, or any other pickups for that matter?

Bright and scooped mids sounds very Custom-like. The Custom is pretty thumpy, though. Any chance you could tell us what's going on under the hood? Ceramir or Alnico magnet? DCR?

Thanks!
