Seymour Duncan Custom Custom in Strat: Retain some clean clarity?

so i'm thinking about getting a HH strat and putting in a custom custom along with a pearly gates in the guitar. would a custom custom work with an alder body guitar like the strat? and also, the main question that i'd like to ask is whether i could get some nice cleans out of the custom custom. i realize that i'm sacrificing some gorgeous clean sounds by switching to a dual humbucker system but i just find with the style of music i play that humbuckers suit me alot better.

The cleans are so so to me. Really though, I almost never play clean bridge on any guitar. It will sound great dirty as long as you have 500K Pots. For most of my clean stuff I use the neck bucker, just get something that is sweet like an alnico pro II or maybe the pearly gates.

I have a CC/59 in my Les Paul. The cleans with both pickups selected are very nice. The CC sould go very will in a strat. It will warm tha guitar up nicely.

IMO, the CC is the absolute best production humbucker in an alder strat. The cleans are great - it doesn't behave as much like a high output pickup as you'd think from the descriptions. It also sounds really good split if you wanted to add a toggle or push/pull pot. The PG neck should be a great match with it, too.

Just make sure you're using 500k pots.
