Hello there,

I'm about to order a Seymour Duncan JBJZ-SET Humbucker JB/Jazz pickup set but I'd like to add a cover.
Can you tell me if the following cover will fit ?

The pickup set...

It's impossible to tell if those covers will fit because there are no dimensions included with the covers.

The Jazz neck has 49mm pole spacing.
The JB has either 49mm or 50mm. Sorry, I don't remember. Maybe someone will chime in and correct me.

If you are about to order, why not order them with covers?

Why try and add them after?

Curious: what kind of guitar, what kind of music are you playing? JB's are not a universal PU for all guitars and genres.

Hi,

Well thanks all for your replies.
I am beginning regarding guitars building. I should say, I'm learning and discovering guitars parts and how to assembly things between them.
I wanted to get those pickups with the cover but either they were not in stock or I had to order them on the other side of the world and getting almost killed by customs with their funny fees

Those Silver and Gold are fine (^_^) I ordered them online and got them yesterday. Now I need to find the black cover and that is going to be tricky ! Nothing online. I will contact Seymour Duncan to see if I can make a special order or find something in spare/stock

Wally, you're from Paris, isn't it?

Close to Metro Pigalle there are at least nine Musique boutiques that are official Duncan dealers that would gladly make you order of covered Duncan Hot Rod Humbucker set.

These are just the three mentioned in the Duncan's International Official Dealer list:

If you get a Duncan Trembucker JB, only Seymour Duncan Trembuckers covers will fit, as it's a proprietary design, so no other covers will fit.

Consider yourself warned.

Thank you very much I'll come to see them.
I barely go there since I'm lefty and there is only 1 shop that proposes guitars But for sure I'll pop by and order that.

In total I need to kit because a new Black Winter kit is ont its way

Ah ah I gave a call to those shops, they were not especially impressed by my request. Not expensive enough maybe ?
I contacted the Seymour Duncan support who replied to me saying they don't have any black cover for sale.
BUT
I can find things that would fit on it and they gave me a link
Time for me to take proper measures (never did that before) but once I'll have an idea of the 'pole' spacing position I'll know what to order

Sure I will I am working and so many different projects but I'm slower than a turtle to make progress but I can have an excuse... I'm a newbie
