Alas, neither the CC nor the A2P are on the list. Both should be, though!

I'm probably being thrown by how it always sounds like Slash, but I'm not sure how ultra versatile the A2P is. Its mids sound like a supermodel looks: carefully poised, combed, unmoving, perfectly regular. Like marble pillars. It's not a bad sound, though, and probably quite versatile; but it does nothing good for me at all. (I prefer the tonal response of a CC; it changes character as you dig in. Yay, greasy 70s LP tones!)

Anyway, I probably just need to sample the A2P more; can anybody point me to somebody who isn't Slash, who uses it?

Akira Takisaki uses the A2P in his all-maple, Floyd Rosed super strats. Sounds great, but naturally miles away from Slash, both in tone and playing style.
