Seymour Duncan Pick-up Booster

Hello, I've always ran my pick-up booster very early in my chain of pedals, specificly: Guitar - Tuner - Pup Booster - Volume - Wah - Amp
What order do you put your booster in the chain? After/Before Wah?...
I'm gonna mess around with it to see if I can get a better sound than I'm getting right now, just wanted to get your input as well.

Re: Seymour Duncan Pick-up Booster

I make mine the first thing in the chain. Just seems logical. ;)

Edit: I should clarify - I agree with what everyone after me has said. I have my tuner off to the side, (not in the "chain"), and I don't use a wah, but I would put those before a booster, also. ;)

I use my SD Pup Booster 3rd in my Chain after my Modded Vox Wah and my BOSS TU2 Pedal Tuner. Works great for me :)

Alright then, I still havn't tried it, but I've got to try the booster after my wah... Well.... either way, Pick-up booster is a great pedal.

Re: Seymour Duncan Pick-up Booster

You mean there are other pedals??!! I ran mine once with and overdrive. I only remember that I didn't like it before, I don't know if I tried it the other way.

Re: Seymour Duncan Pick-up Booster

If I'm going to use effects (which I rarely do!) it's:

Guitar > Boost > Fuzz/Overdrive/Distortion > Wah > Reverb or Echo > Chorus > Amp

I always have time based effects like reverb or echo last in the chain unless I'm using chorus...if I'm using chorus I tend to play in stereo with the stereo chorus feeding two amps.

Using boost pedals or distortion or overdrive or fuzz pedals after the wah wah seems to make the wah less effective. I like that stuff before my wah wah.

But 99% of the time it's just a guitar > cord > amp for me.

Re: Seymour Duncan Pick-up Booster

Man that sounds like more hookin up then playing to me!! I'll take my Line 6 fbv shortboard with MY presets anyday!!! Although the pickup booster would be the ONE pedal I would own. I had a Boss bcb something or other with Five different boss pedals I collected over the years Master, Delay, chorus, Octave, And Super feedbacker distortion. In a pedal board that wasn't bad. I traded them all in though for that floorboard at guitar center........Yeah I got ripped off. I should have went the ebay way. No regrets on the floorboard though it makes the flextone 3 really versatile.

Anyways, I think I would have put that PUP booster first in the chain since essentially what your doing is getting more ouput from your PUPS. Sounds almost like a no brainer.

Re: Seymour Duncan Pick-up Booster

If you want to use the Resonance Switch, the SFX-01 has to be first in your chain. Otherwise, it won't work.
