Hello everyone, I've never owned an Ibanez electric guitar before and came across a used Ibanez RG370DXZ with stock -Pickups: Bridge INF4, Middle NFS3, Neck INF3 -Bridge: Edge Zero II tremolo w/ ZPS3Fe -Body material: Basswood and was wanting to know what Seymour Duncan replacement pickups would sound good for classic/hard rock/metal. I play in a classic/hard rock covers band doing stuff like Judas Priest, AC/DC, Grand Funk Railroad, Cinderella, Tommy 2 Tone, etc?

Have you given the stock units a chance yet? I believe they are DiMarzios....

Hi, I’ve used one of those guitars for a long time.

Go for JB & Jazz for the bridge & Neck

Middle, I would recommend a SSL

I don't actually own the guitar right now I saw one for sale online my other guitar player has an Ibanez rg370dx that I used it our band rehearsal last night that has the same pickups just trying to get a feel for the guitar and deciding if I want to buy the Ibanez rg370dx Z or not?

Stock pickups aren't awful on those guitars. If you find that you don't like them, tell us what you don't like and we can better guide you towards something that is going to work best for you. Otherwise, you're just likely to have guys rattling off lists of their favorite pickups, regardless of what will work best for you.

As always - live with the stock ones for a while. What doesn't work for you about them?

And as always - there is no pickup that is going to do priest/AC-DC/ommy 2 Tone well period. Always cracks me up when people ask for that.

Decent Priest, IMO = EMG's or a Distortion
AC/DC is a 59 or a PG
Tommy 2 Tone is just a sad comment.....but I'd say a Jazz if we must go there.

But - all of that said, I'd try a 59/Custom for all around playing hard to light. Or....depending on your amp, I might just go for a 59 set. I like the JB Jazz suggestion a lot!

I prefer DiMarzio's in my Ibanez guitars. Just seems to fit. Tone Zone and a Norton. Or a SuperD bridge and leave the neck.
