Seymour Duncan SH6 with Blackout style covers?

Hi guys

Does anyone know whether we can order like coil humbuckers like the SH6, SH5 etc but have them custom ordered to be inside a Seymour Duncan blackout /EMG style cover?.

I love the look of those active style pickups but dont actually like active pickups if you get me. Can this be done and if so does anyone know how?. Be it either mod or custom made from Seymour Duncan etc.
(I know you can buy those fake EMG style plastic covers, I own a few pairs but once you clip them over the actual pickup I couldnt get them to fit flush, leaving a gap between the face of the actual pickup and the inside of the cover which makes a tonal and power difference because the pickup then has to be lowered away from the strings so the cover doesnt touch the strings)

made to fit perfectly inside this - V

anyone?

I have an HB103b that came with a cover.

But this was originally the stock pickup in a Schecter Scorpion. I'd call SD customer service and ask them if that's something they can do for you.

I believe the custom shop could make you a Distortion or a Custom inside a blackouts housing.

You can buy aftermarket plastic covers.

EXCELLENT idea!

I personally would get the CS to make me a cover. But only to pimp the Duncan's.

You can find black covers out there that ought to work just find. Use your Google Foo

Allparts is your friend: LINK

Comes in a set of 2 for $5, what more do you want? Lots of shops and Guitar Centers sell them, as well.

I use WD open-face humbucker covers on my neck pickups.

Here is a metal 'bucker cover. Just make sure you have traditional spaced humbuckers. These won't fit Duncan Trembuckers.
