Hi.

I just realized that i have sendt them 2 emails this year and never gotten a reply, which is quite a shame since i like their products.

Anyone else experienced this?

Sorry man! I've never had that issue before. Have you tried calling them?

Re: Seymour duncan support, not so great?

Getting them on the phone can be a PIA (because of the wait time, nothing to do with the company) but I think they have terrific customer support!!! They've always answered any email correspondence I've sent in a timely manner & if you have the time to wait until your number comes up in the queue they are very helpful over the phone!

I think the absolute best place for your questions is here on the forum, if it's a general question you'll get several answers in a very short period of time and if you have a question that specifically for a Duncan employee address it as such & post it? Someone from the Duncan team will see it & respond, you may not get the answer in 30 minutes or less but it's not a pizza, and chances are you will have it within 24 hours. Typically that's the expected wait time for a response to a email so really there's no difference, @ least not to me...

Just a for instance, I was trying to find out if a Trembucker I bought off eBay was legit or not because there was some things about it that seemed a bit off to me? Scott sent me at least half a dozen private emails, talked with me on the forum, & we spoke on the phone 2-3 times for 15-20 minutes each time. This was for a pickup that was already bought, so Duncan wasn't going to make anything else off it, & they didn't even know if it was one of there's or not until the end of the conversation, it was BTW!

That's great customer support in my book but at the end of the day we are still just people & people are horribly imperfect! We all make mistakes and forget stuff sometimes, have you tried to send a second one?

That is a great way to improve/maintain incredible brand recognition.

Absolutely this!

Re: Seymour duncan support, not so great?

its a small company and they are busy. calling can be better than emails

Re: Seymour duncan support, not so great?

I've only emailed them once asking if Blackouts could run at 18V and got a polite and informative response from them. No problems so far.

Re: Seymour duncan support, not so great?

Ditto. Been taken care of many times and by several diff means. Highly respected in my book! Tailbomb, make sure the replies didnt go to your spam folder or something. Ive had that happen!! of course if it was long ago, your comp has probably dumped them by now, but that may be what happened..??

Re: Seymour duncan support, not so great?

Slightly off topic... I can't figure out how to post to this forum. Yes, I'm serious, and probably a serious idiot. How do you post a new question in the forum? Thanks for your help.

Re: Seymour duncan support, not so great?

I have sent four emails over the last ten years or so.

None have been answered to date.

Re: Seymour duncan support, not so great?

In my time here I have 1 unanswered, and 1 answered by MJ in 3 days.
SJB - 2 centologist.

Re: Seymour duncan support, not so great?

Hmm, this is strange. I would try calling, or even send them a Facebook message, and explain that you'd tried the email route. Maybe there is something on their end that they don't know about.

Re: Seymour duncan support, not so great?

My experience was the first email was answered quickly. Then the next 2-3 months worth went unanswered. Similar experience with calling. 1st call I got someone, second call I was told to send an email to a particular person, which went unanswered.

Re: Seymour duncan support, not so great?

Hey Tailbomb, sorry you've had trouble getting through. We had some issues earlier this year with voicemails getting routed into the hinterland and some periods of less than ideal email response times. We've brought on some new team members to help out with customer service and lately things have been pretty quick. In your case your message might have been caught by our sometimes too protective spam folder. I'll shoot you a PM and will get you sorted out.
