I want to replace my Epiphone Probuckers, which are very good, with Seymour Duncan 4 wire Hotrodded Humbucker set.
How do I match the wire code of the SD to the wiring of the Epiphone Quick connect? I don't want to have to spend $40 on an adapter.

You don't need to know the wire color conversion. Just follow the existing wiring. The wire from the Probucker that goes to the vol pot input lug will be replaced by the black wire of the SD pup. The two wires of the Probuckers that are tied together (either to a p/p switch or taped off) will be replaced by the red and white wires of the SD pups. The wire that goes to the third lug of the vol pot (the ground) will be the SD green wire. The bare wire goes to the back of a pot for ground.
