Seymour Duncan Tone Wizard page

Re: Seymour Duncan Tone Wizard page

Well, this just turned ultra cool.

One of my academic hobbies was expert systems and decision making. It's tough to make a serious engine. But really, it's not that hard to work this thing down a hierarchical decision tree. It'll take a while - and it will piss off forum members. But so what?

By the way - based on this room of late, the first suggestion no matter what the question should be replace the magnet with an A8 :lmao:

Re: Seymour Duncan Tone Wizard page

Very weird how it suggests a JB over a DD in a hog guitar for metal. I think JBs sound crappy in SGs and I absolutely love DDs in them, but then tone is subjective.

Re: Seymour Duncan Tone Wizard page

The original tone samples of the pups were only available on CD. SD would mail them out.

When I came along, I somehow managed to talk Evan into letting me rip them into high quality MP3's. back then, he was worried that most people had crappy PC speakers and the tone CD's wouldn't be accurate or helpful. But availability seemed more important, get them out there. Then the Tone Wizard.

Fun to watch this company grow and be a very small part of it. One of my favorite moments back then was hanging out at NAMM with Rodneyn and his wife Marie in Anaheim. It was a good day. My first NAMM I think.

How long ago was that? Crap. 2001?
