seymour duncan woody hc hum cancelling

earlier today i was playing around with some acoustic pickups and tried out the seymour duncan woody hc and i thought it had a great sound and am looking at buying one soon, what are your opinions on the matter of tone for the pickup? i'm looking for respectful comments on the tone quality of the pickup. i was also wondering if this pickup would sound good with an o.k. sounding yamaha guitar for the song: "we're going to be friends" by the white stripes. i was thinking about playing that song for my school's talent show at the end of the year . also i thought the pickup sounded warmer when playing with the thumb than with playing with a pick, but not on the song we're gonna be friends because that is a fingerpicking song and the matter of thumb vs. pick wouldn't be relevant!
