Hey there....I want to put the Quarter Pounder Tele pickups in a Classic Vibe Squier Tele. Will they fit?? And... sound clips sound great, but could somebody tell me why they love them??

Don't know about tele version, I really like the strat QP though. Really punchy and gritty mid heavy tones. It's quite p90'sh.

They're tele pickups, and CV tele is very much classic tele design, why wouldn't they fit?

Welcome to the forum!

It should be a drop in replacement. I dig the QP Tele pickups as you get the power of a P90, but still some twang in there. It still sounds like a Tele, just bolder.

Re: Seymour Quarter Pounder pickups in my Squire Classic Vibe Tele

I put a QP tele neck pickup and a Hot Rails bridge pickup in my tele. Has been in there for years now. I'm starting to dislike the hot rails as I'm favouring single coil tones more these days so I may replace that with the QP bridge if/when one comes up cheap.

The QP neck is great if you like higher output pickups. Its just got the right amount punch across the spectrum; fat lows, juicy mids, and some nice sweet highs (which is where hot pickups usually falter, they lose the nice highs). My tele is a US Hwy1 model, maple neck. I'm a firm believer that the wood on the fret board comes into play with the tone you get on strats and teles - maple is gonna be brighter and snappier, rosewood has a softer attack and slightly mellowed highs - be mindful of this when selecting pickups.
