SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic question

Hi, guys...first post here. I've lurked and obtained great info on this forum many times. THANKS to you all! Here's a question for you SFX-03 owners...I'm interested in using this pedal as a dedicated preamp into a Marshall head that has been modified to access the power amp section only. Do you think this pedal can drive a power amp on its own, or is it strictly intended to go into the front end of an amplifier. Also, if I ran the rhythm channel fairly clean and the lead channel crunchy, how would it take being hit with overdrive pedals in front of it? There you go...thanks in advance for your response!

Re: SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic question

Welcome to the forum. I believe it could do all those thing quite well. It acts just like a preamp and maybe it is. Seems to love a clean amp because it has so much warth and tube feel of its own. And of course you could goose it with an OD pedal, do it! :)

Hm. It's an overdrive pedal. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

It is pretty "powerful."
