SFX-09 Double Back Compressor

Stratman

Guitaris Maximus
NAMM 09

Seymour and Evans do it again...

A Compressor that has a feature that allows some of the uncompressed sound, you know the initial "snap" of the string to double back into the compressor output.

It maintains and preserving the essential essence and sensation of a string being plucked.

Its a blend knob... allows for parallel compression by letting the "whole" uncompressed signal through, not just the attack. That little switch underneath is an EQ thats flat, mid bump, or top boost for the straight signal.

And the compressor itself is VCA based so its more transparent & faster then an opto.

Sounded pretty good with bass & keys too... not just guitar.

Re: SFX-09 Double Back Compressor

this seems very interesting to try out, and im looking for a good compressor that gives me transparent sustain without the 'thwick thwick thwick' on the attack; preserving some of the natural attack might be a way out of this.
seems to copy the concept form the Barber tone press; anyone directly compare these two yet?
