Can the SFX-03 add tube warmth to a solid state amp when run clean? (clean on both amp and pedal)

I believe it would do it fairly well , but that said every amp sound and reacts to pedals differently but I do think it will do the job . Besides the cleans , you'll love the OD

I run this into Crate Powerblocks and it sounds really good when the amps are dialed in for a bypassed clean tone. Gain at approx 10:00 It is just a temp rig for now, but the SFX-03 does wonders for my tone.

I haven't tried the Duncan unit, but I've tried other "tubes inside" overdrives with solid state amps. I am always impressed with the sounds, but there is still a difference between preamp tube overdrive and power tube overdrive. Most high-gain amps rely on massive preamp tube distortion, since it is considerably more dramatic, but power tube distortion has that sound. But I also like the sound of solid state distortion.
