What's everybody's opinion on the SH-1 '59 Model Electric Guitar Pickup? I currently am thinking about dropping it in my Gibson Classic Les Paul in the bridge position.

Can this pickup be coil tapped?

Thanks,

I use a 59 bridge pup in my SG....I love it....I just picked up a Jazz pup for the neck to match....didn't install yet..

My 59 isn't coil tapable but I believe they make a 4 wire model for this pup...

Get one if you dig that vintage sound.....

I don't remember what the 59' sounds like, but you can get them in 4 conductor versions.

I love the 59 set in my Schecter PT. The 59 is available in 4-wire so it can be coil-split or wired parallel.

Got a set in my Classic right now. No complaints as I was after a solid vintage LP tone and they are definitely delivering that. I just spend too much time hanging around here so I agonize whether a different neck pup would be everything the 59 is plus offer some more tones. But I digress...the 59 bridge is a keeper for me.

James, that's the guitar I'm going to put them in, what amp are you playing though, would you be able to post a soundclip so I can hear what it sounds like?

Just a 30 second clip with overdrive or distortion, but nothing else? Let me know if that's doable??
thanks so much!!!
