hi,

i want to ask if there are any HSS combination

that can get similar to the

HH combination "SH-1 n and SH-4 b" ?

LIL59
LIL59
SH-4 ?

or what ?

and i know someone uses
LIL59
SSL 2
SH-4
any good?

thank you very much :D :14:

Yeah the LIL59 is built to sound similiar as the SH-1 '59. So both should be similiar.
But it does matter how you wired it... With a HH setup you normal can switch to Neck Bridge Combo which a normal HSS wiring hasn't maybe you have to rewire it....

id say go lil 59 n, do something funky in the middle, and do a JB in the bridge.

when i say something funky, i dont mean funky. id reccomend to get something that is hum cancelling, since the jb and lil59 are, wouldnt it be nice to have no hum? i have a classic stack in my mid position, and i love it for classic strat tones, not quite a ssl-1, but thats the sacrafice made for going hum free. the stack does great single coil stuff, blues, classic rock, etc.

so i reccomend the lil59-classicstack-JB. (thats my current setup, except im H-S-H, so i have 59n-c.stack-JB)

as for wiring, my guitar is a std. 5 way switch that works as follows:

1. 59n
2. blend 59n and classic stack (coil splitting/tapping?)
3. classic stack
4. blend classic stack and JB (coil split/tap?)
5. JB

the only thing i regret on this is that i cant blend the 59 and the JB, and i never use 2 or 4.

if you have a lil59 on the middle too:
then you can blend it. (lil59 lil59 JB)

wouldnt it almost be like HH (59 and JB) then ?
