Why don't you just post a clip of what sound you get?
Since I've been considering getting a So Cal myself, also to replace the stock Distortion set with a CC/FSn set, I'm curious about that too.
I think you'll be getting a flutey, single coil-like tone, but with great resoonse when using high gain.
It's sitting in a box while I wait for all the other parts.
So, what tone am I gonna get here? Alder body maple capped 25.5" neck Charvel So Cal. Floyd Rose Original.
Clint? Bueller? Bueller?
It sounds like you are going for a slight note of leather emanating from your leather bound books coupled with the smells of a rich scent of alder and bergamot. Quite dashing really. I think its a win!
Just buying random pickups?
How you liking the new pickup?
Gotta wire things up yet. Using DIY Layout Creator to whip up a circuit:

Cool deal
Posted this on the other forum too. Spice always existed for circuits, but this is great for just a visual, component aspect... like wiring up your guitar.
The FSn is one of my favorite neck pickups.
LLL nailed it.
Filister poles tame that clicky attack and make it smoother. Thats how i run mine.
Can you turn a Jazz into a FSn by replacing the poles?
