SH-10n Full Shred Neck Is Killer

Oh yeah..

This is *the* neck pickup to rule all other neck pickups for higher-gain goods.

Going through a testing phase; got it wired up in a Charvel So-Cal (alder body, maple-capped maple neck) that I've heavily modified.

Paired with an old beatup 80's JBJ from my youthful hair metal days.


It's got enough output for flutey notes and smooth legato leads, etc... but also has this wonderful single-coil stank on top; sorta "rude"

Every note is clear including the low strings; zero mud... but it is not clinical.


Let's put it this way: if you were to play snooze-blooze with this pickup, people's ears would perk up.

There were a number of threads on here for a while that were very positive on the FS neck. Sounded like it solved every problem everyone ever had with a neck humbucker. Still need to get one myself.

Always wanted to try one of those, still never have. I'd love to hear the clips once you've gotten around to it, curious to hear it with different types of gain and clean :1: Congrats, it's always nice to find something you really click with.

I remember listening to all the neck pickup sounds clips on Duncan’s site a number of years back and the Full Shred being my favorite. Maybe it’s because I don’t like neck pickups and it sounded the least like one. I’ve been meaning to pick one up since, but like I said, I don’t like neck pickups, so I don’t like to spend money on them, so here we are.
