SH-4 JB vs SH-5 Custom, Metal

Sorry for low quality, I'm pressed for time.

I need a versatile pickup for a basswood Jackson Kelly JS30, that can deliver a crushing amount of gain, is articulate, an can be used for all styles of metal from an 80's thrash metal sound to a modern metal sound.

And I'm already going to put a SH-6 Distortion in another one of my guitars, so that's off the table.

Thanks!

Kept a JBJ in a basswood Charvel Predator for many many years, tuned down a full step. Totally crushed 80s hard rock and metal. Also sounds like you like the DD, so you'd be in the same lineup.

See, I am more of a Custom fan. I think it sounds better for lower tunings and more modern forms. It sounds more adaptable to my ears.
