I have yet to find a task that SH-5 is not up to...great pickup. Thinking of leaving 57 at the neck and experimenting a bit with Sh-5 + 57 combo, heard that 57s work particularly well in this 2018 Studio...I can always change it later, if needed.

Leave the 57neck in and try the SH-11 in the bridge!

You can always swap the mag with any of the customs - Probably one of the most versatile humbuckers to do mag swaps with.

The Hybrid 59/Custom is a really cool pickup too!!

That's a good idea, which one should I buy? I see some magnets are unoriented, others bright oriented, rough cast, sand cast...SH-11 is Alnico 2, I think?

I’ve still got the SH-5/59 combo in my LP. Awesome for rhythm, chugs and thick powerful tone. I preferred the JB for leads. If I was tracking in the studio, I’d probably have one of each.

But anyway, the Custom and 59 pair nicely together.

It would pair fine and wouldn't be to loud. I have a SH-5 with a Whole Lotta Humbucker in the neck and it works fine.
