sh 6 distortion?

I'm thinking of putting an sh 6 distortion in my Epiphone les paul custom....bridge position. what is your opinion...will it install without trouble...the sh6 has 4 connectors...will this work? thanks. david

Welcome!
No problem. They are a standard fit. The the red and white are just soldered together and tapped off unless you are using coil split at all. Enjoy!

hey David,
I put a Duncan distortion in my Epi Lespaul custom.

and to be honest, i couldnt be happier. its tight, aggressive and clear, specially under highgain. installation was very simple and straight forward. after you setup and wire the pickup, the only thing left is to adjust its height.

Keep one thing In mind.. if you order a Duncan Distortion with a cover, it wont have as much output as the none-covered ones. the cover doesnt allow the coils to get closer to the strings, which wont give you as much output.

Do it! Do it now!!! The only thing four conductor means is that you willhave to twist/solder the two extra wires together and cover them with some shrinky stuff, tape or whatever.

I've got a covered DD in my Standard and it still has plenty of output...slightly less than uncovered, but I think it's a good thing. It's a little more smooth. :smokin:
