Hey, need your help!
Have a SH-8 and i would like to split it and if possible also phase it out....
Have a 5-way switch in my Ibanez S7320 and I only want to use ONE Humbucker in bridge position.
How can i wire it up to have it split and out-of-phase .... (i know there are some options for that i would need a super switch that i dont have)
...
In worst case i put back the neck-H, but i cant believe its not possible to modulate the Humbucker settings of a pickup that IS ACTUALLY splitable with a guitar
that has a 5-Way switch

Just a quick try because I'm at work at the moment. It might work.

But it would be something like:

1-Full
2-Split
3-split
4-no sound
5-out of phase

No prob! Yeah that looks correct. Bare = GND but you also have to connect it to the back of a pot.
If you need another switching option let me know and we can see if it's possible etc.

I thought ground is the back of the volume pot?!
I have still some cable leftovers from the old humbuckers at the switch, can i use them to make those inter-bridges ?

Anything that conducts electricity can be used to wire the switch bridges, except water (since you can't make it keep a solid form). Paper clips, staples, bits of guitar string, etc.

Ground is the back of the pot but bare pickup wire should be connected there too. So you just connect the bare wire to the back of the pot and with another wire you take it to that pole of the switch.
Yeah you can use those.

If you make everything on the signal path water-proof except the ground you can fill the cavity with water and you're set. lol. That reminds me of the oil-cooled pc systems:

I just did the soldering and it doesnt work... dunno where i made the mistake.
Only the switch position to the neck gives me some (noisy) out of phase sound

OK I'll check my circuit again too, I could also have done the mistake...i'm not out of the equation. ;)

Don't forget that the two red paths you have there in the Final Wiring drawing that connect the "C" poles shouldn't be wires.

i just soldered a bazillian wires^^ e.g slot 1 has three... everything that i noticed as a connection is a wire now...

can u tell me what the red paths are for?
Think ill just clean everything up again and start from zero...
You doublecheked? So im gonna do the same thing but this time im not gonna consider the two red initial paths that were given in your sketch, right?

Yeah that's the way to do it. The red paths just show the connection between the poles on each position of the switch. They are not part of the wiring. ;)

Yeah I checked and it seems alright, but I'll recheck and if anyone here can spot a mistake please do tell.

so my equation leading to all the red wired in my `final wiring´ suggestion was a mistake...

well if you remove the two red paths from the Common poles it looks ok.
