Hi, I'm new to this forum.
I'm planning to replace the JB on my Schecter C1 Classic because it simply lacks the chug for high gain stuff.
I've had my eyes on the DD and Invader for quite some time, but from the recordings I hear in this forum I'm more attracted to the Invader's massive crunch. Will the Invader be too muddy for the guitar? It's a maple/walnut neck through with mahogany wings and a quilted maple veneer.
I mostly play metal/shred but never downtune, only down a half step at most. Soloing will not be an issue because I hardly ever solo with the bridge, and would likely buy the full shred to accompany the Invader. If there's a specific sound I'd like to nail, that would be Gus G's tone on Firewind's Burning Earth album.
If there's a better alternative for serious chugging riffs that you'd like to tell, you're more than welcome.
