SH-PG1 VS TBPG-1

Re: SH-PG1 VS TBPG-1

Spacing between poles. TB is slightly wider than SH to better fit the string spacing at the bridge in trem equipped guitars.

Re: SH-PG1 VS TBPG-1

It has not been confirmed if it changes the tone any but the TB pu's have a higher resistance reading than the SH counterparts.
I swear the the TB's are slightly hotter in output,YMMV

Re: SH-PG1 VS TBPG-1

Extra DCR from the wider coil really should not affect output. The turn count is what you're hearing. The best illustration I can give is 7-string pickups. They are not 15-20% louder than their 6-string counterparts. The volumes are about the same. But the DCR is higher. Loosely the formula for 7-string DCR is divide the 6 string by 6, then multiply by 7. In reality the amount of wire that is wrapping around each end stays the same, only the straight section should be multiplied. If you consider the ends of the coils a fixed dimension/geometry, it's probably more like divide by 8 then multiply by 9, but you get the idea.
