SH Telecaster - '59 neck overpowering Quater Pounder in the bridge?

Well, the pickup height adjustment is a good tip. I pulled the '59 away from the strings a bit and I can definitely hear both pickups in parallel now. I'm going to play around with what spacing gets me the tone I'm happiest with in that position and debate going back to a 3-way instead of a 4-way switch.

Thanks for all the tips!

I am happy that worked well. Sometimes you don't have to buy anything new at all.

I'm going to toss this out there just because I've seen weird things happen in wiring. Is it possible that you have the "tapped" version of the QP, and hooked up red & ground?

Just a thought.

In my experience, the brighter bridge pickup when paired with a humbucker, the more distinctive middle position's sound is. My favorite bridge pickup paired with '59 is Fender Nocaster. Of course I can hear volume imbalance between two pickups, but every position sounds good to me. QP should keep up with '59 though. Sometimes you have to choose between sounds or volume balance. If you don't want to change the QP since you said you like it, maybe you need to replace '59 with lower wind humbucker. I don't have experience with this kind of combo though.
