Sh11 custom custom in the neck?

Re: Sh11 custom custom in the neck?

What is your preference?
Depends on the guitar and what's in the bridge and how I'm feeling about the pick attack, so you won't be able to hold me down to one pickup.

So I'll share my list of the usual DiMarzio suspects that I always post...
Gravity Storm
LiquiFire/Illuminator
Evolution
Steve Morse
Humbucker From Hell

Since I'm feeling charitable I'll throw in the Duncan Full Shred Neck (no, it's a great pickup for vintage to medium output pickups in the bridge).

Re: Sh11 custom custom in the neck?

Hamer made a guitar with a Custom Custom in the neck. I think it had a JB in the bridge.

I remember reading that Brian Blush of the Refreshments used a CC in the neck into a Matchless. Listening to his creamy leads I can believe it.

I've read that too about Brian ( probably on here lol), more blues and classic rock than shred, but It sounds like he played most of the album on the neck pickup of that Les Paul and I loved the tone he was getting whatever it was. ( Fizzy, Fuzzy, big and buzzy from the Refreshments if anyone wants to check out a great slice of southwestern tinged rock from the 90s)

Listening to "Nada" now. Nice!

Evolution down a path beginning with the Air Norton. Improvements in note separation, clarity and all the other enhancements pickup manufacturers promise in the hopes you will upgrade every time a new signature model comes out.
