Sh4-JB or SH-6 Distortion for metal/doom? Swift Help Needed!

Re: Sh4-JB or SH-6 Distortion for metal/doom? Swift Help Needed!

Also you might want to get a '59n instead of a Jazz. But it also depends on what you plan on doing with the neck pickup. The '59n has a very thick sound and great cleans.
A DD/'59 combo should be killer for your style of music.

Right, i've had a good listen and think and taken everthing into account you have all had to say. Thank you! I'm gonna order an Sh-6 Distortion for the bridge and an Sh1-59 for the neck. I think this will mellow out the high gain of the SH6 a bit. This should suffice for metal me thinks (in all its guises). if there are any last minute comments/suggestion please let me know... soon... before i go blow my cash... if not i'll get back to you guys when they are installed!

I used a DD in my Les Paul for years. I don't think you can do a whole lot better than a DD for metal. I love this pickup and I play old school metal and classic rock.

I'm guessing after 9 1/2 years he got it figured out.
