Hi , i am wanna change my fender jaguar blacktop pups this week, i really confuse about those 3 pups
I mostly play punk rock, social distortion, rancid, rise against, and some new stuffs rock / alternative , i already had 2 guitar with Jb, and i wanna something new for my guitar
How about the invader or black winter or i just stick to another Jb? Is black winter too metal for my music? Is black winter good for Eb tuning or just D standard? Or i just go for invader?
I prefer mid and treble for my liking. I wanna something more heavy but i dont like more bass sound
Thank you

I like my Invaders, you have to really dial the amp in or they're mud but if you got the amp they sounds wicked.
I have a JB too, I like it a lot as well.

The Invader has mids for days, but not much treble. The Black Winter has lots of mids too, but a lot more treble than the Invader. Honestly, I'd go for the Black Winter. It isn't just for metal. Think of it as a clearer sounding Invader.

Re: SH4 or Invader or Black Winter

The Black Winter can handle anything.

It slices, it dices, it chicken fried rices.

Seriously...anything. Cleans, pushed cleans, dirt, grime, punk, post punk, Siouxsie, thrash, death, doom, stoner, neo classical...chamber music.

The magnet is made of Unicorn horn, so it knows what you need.

The Invader is great if you are playing through something like an old Marshall that is very mid-rangey because it is naturally scooped so when you pair the scooped Invader with a naturally midrange heavy amp, it turns out really nice.

But yeah...Winters. All day every day.
