SH5 in HSS strat, 2nd pos of switch?

Hi, I got a new MIM player series HSS strat with Floyd Rose. I want to put a Seymour Duncan HS5 in the bridge. Currently, the number two position of the switch splits the H (bridge) pickup and uses the split H along with the middle S pickup. Will the new SH5 pickup do the same thing if I install it?

Thanks,

Randy

Welcome!

Yes. Assuming it has 4 wires (which the SH-5 have by default). You will just need to be careful with the colors. Once you get it, come back here and we can help you out.

Btw, if you can choose, get a TB-5 since it's the same pickup but it has trem spacing so the poles will line up better with the strings. It's not a big deal if you get a normal one.
