“Shaken not stirred” Clone Guitars #007 is done….

Yeah I couldn’t pass up the bond quote even though the guitar has nothing to do with bond aside from the cool serial number lol.

Anyway here we have Clone #007 this is a graphic I came up with and then went crazy trying to pick the right colors for. I decided on the metallic grey and metallic lime green and a gloss black iron cross and I couldn’t be happier (yes the cross is painted on and under the clear, it’s not a sticker for those wondering). My painter Dave Mansel did a KILLER job on it and I was blown away when I opened the box to see it for the first time. I can’t say enough good about him as a person and his work, I have NEVER been let down by him!!

the guitar is…alder body, ¼ sawn maple neck (PC-1 style back shape with some meat) original floyd, Schaller tuners, aluminum back plates as usual by Dave (budman) Duncan custom shop Tony Iommi pickup (that is NOT an X2N I need to make that clear…this one actually sounds good LOL)

This is also the first Clone done to get the new headstock logo which I’m lovin’

Without further adieu Clone #007 hangin’ out by the pool waiting for its Martini hahaha

(the lime green is also a candy color and as fine metal flake in it…no idea why it didn’t show up in the pics…it’s there though)

Love the color combination and the stripes... the maltese cross? not so much - but if you like it - at least it was done well. Beautiful looking guitar.

slade...pickups and knobs are over-rated LOL. thanks though. oh and it's either an iron cross or a maltese cross depending on who you ask. it has little to do with nazi's, they just gave it a bad reputation when they added that evil little design to the center of it! i don't feel like typing all the info but it started as a very prestigious metal....google if you need to know more

Davey...it's all good bro, not everyone has good taste LOL just kidding. green and orange?? are you nuts LOL. although this guitar does look real good next to the candy pink clone though. as for the neck the sun washed it out a bunch it does have color to it, it's not white lol. oh and the logo, it was just time to change things up and make a logo that was a bit more bold and more along the lines of the other two companies that use guitar shapes as their logos.

Wow, thats pretty special Mike! I would have never put those colours together, but it really works well. Can't wait to see what's next, and don't listen to guys saying too few pickups, ya only need one pickup to rock!

The logo is badass!

The black blade 'bucker and the black hardware also look preety sharp if you ask me. The paint job...it's a little more "extreme" than I'm used to but it's still sweet...

A single humbucker is sufficient. But I have a dual bucker Strat, Hum/Single Strat and a single-bucker Kramer so who am I to criticize.

What I love about single humbucker guitars though is they make you work with your hands a little more to achieve different tones, use the volume knob, pick closer to the bridge or the neck. A lot about dynamics can be learned on one. I love 'em though I just have the one....but that might change....at some point.....maybe....LOL.

I love Mike's threads, because the cool meter goes off the charts. LOL
I loves me a metallic paint job, and green really does work great with metallic charcoal. Maroon would look good too. I like how the rails on the pickup accent the stripes.
