Sherwood Green Fender Jazz

Anyone ever seen one of these in modern production? I have only seen one which belongs to Adam Clayton of U2. Great color on a J-Bass, kind of unusual!!

I almost ordered one in Emerald Green several years ago.

Must have SD Antiquities II in 64 JB !

Lakland makes the Daryl Jones signature in Sherwood Green. But, not the same as a J-Bass IMHO.

I dont like to play JBass anymore...but if I did it would be a 64.....and I have a Lakland 5 string custom hand made in Chicago with SD pups..but its white.

It's not a commonly-made color, and even when Fender has made it in "modern" times, it has been a much different color than the old gray-green metallic that is "correct" for Sherwood Green. The modern version is actually a much better color in my opinion (more like a forest green metallic), but if you want old-school Sherwood Green, anything made by Fender since the '60's won't do.

But the good news is that you can take any Fender Jazz Bass, get some Sherwood Green and gloss coat Re-Ranch cans, and there ya go!
