I tell ya man I've been driving around and really getting familiar with the area, infact I was complaining when I was driving around back at home how it wasn't like Lexington how strange eh?

Once I get all my stuff straight we'll jam one day....

Can a brotha get a shot of the back neck plate?

By the way, You've ruined me now. I have just (as of this moment) purchased a brass humbucker spaced trem (the old mate to your NOS one) to fit my next project guitar.

A little blurry but its because of my camera, I also blurred the serial number. If you can't tell it has "25th Anniversary" in cursive etched below the serial number.

A better one of the back of the neck

I was curious about whether the San Dimas 25th's have the raised border on the neckplate like the original San Dimas Charvel's did. I really dig the old style neckplate.

That is one seriously sweet guitar. I know you will love it. I like it so much from the pics, I'm going to make my own custom clone of it. The main differences will be that I'll have a hamer football side jack, two humbuckers, teak oil finish on all wood parts.

Yeah I hear ya about the raised neck plates. Those things were awesome. Thats about my only complaint on this one is I expected the raised plate as well, but its a small complaint.

I really need to stop opening this thread.

dude thats too funny.

Dude my wife has been wondering what the heck i do on the PC. for all i know she probabaly thinks im looking at porn! LOL

But i am telling her that i am checking out guitars. i am in my crazy guitar checking out phase.
She thinks its cool though! great wife!

anyway, thanks for the extra pics!

That is a pretty thick neck tho. for a shred guitar. Thats what i love. i dont really like those Wizard style necks.

Beautiful, just damn beautiful

I also love how the back is trans red!

I could look at this thread forever!

I think the picture makes it look a little thicker than it is. The thing has a nice and comfy D shape feel and there is no noticeable drop on my speed on this guitar compared to my other jacksons and charvels but as I said earlier not as flat and thin as a soloist neck but its not a baseball bat either.

I am JacksonMIA's worst GAS nightmare I do believe. ;)

yeah i dont like em real thin.

congrats dude on that guitar.

you realize what it has done to all of us here tho!

the only thing that i could think of that i DONT like about it ( silly huh?) is that it is almost too nice. like i would be afraid to play it too much so i dont knock it around or something. that is why i always loved the VH approach to guitars.

but then again i have to get one of those suckers!

Re: She's here... Charvel content

Thanks dude, well I always take good care of my guitars so a little fretwear or light pickscratches would be the extent of anything and I play em all regularly. I ain't skeered to play em but I know what you mean. The only guitar that leaves the house typically is the soloist, the rest stay in their little homes which also helps.

This is what I have in mind. Something close to this. Brass knobs (already ordered) and brass trem (also ordered) with corian nut. Stainless jumbo frets. Angled head (it's not going to be an exact copy). Gold locking tuners. Mega switch. The second knob won't be a tone knob. It will be a midrange boost. Volume will be a push/push affair to allow splitting. Come to think of it, I guess I don't need a 5 way switch eh? Guess I could make it a three way and move it somewhere else. Body and neck will be oil finished. May consider using laquer on the top of the fretboard to give more durability.

Still a work in progress. It's nice to know that these trems are made for humbucker spacing. I wish more were made like it, because I LOVE humbuckers.

Re: She's here... Charvel content

^^^^ I like it! I'm a sucker for guitars that you can put double creams or zebras on with gold hardware, it just looks sharp. Are you going to inlay it?
